Jacqui Rock

President

Jacqui Rock has recently taken on the role of Poole BID Lead, to not only win a successful ballot to enable the BID to continue into a second term, but also to improve and establish the vitality and viability of Poole Town Centre & Quay for the future.

Additionally, for her business she uses her wide range of experience in marketing and branding to encompass various ‘storytelling’ platforms (PR, podcasting, event management, networking, content, appeal & copy writing) that her business clients benefit from too.  

 She loves to find unique ways of making her clients ideas come to life by creating that buzzzzz…  Her mantra being – Jacqui Rocks Framing Your Business Story…

Yvonne Devereaux

Vice-President

Yvonne Devereux is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD) and also holds a Post Graduate Degree in Employment Law. 

She is the owner and founder of Olyvetree Ltd, a local HR Consultancy and Training business based in Christchurch. She brings with her over 25 years’ of HR experience and knowledge gained from working in senior corporate HR roles in well-known organisations.

Yvonne moved from Hampshire in 2016 and now lives in Christchurch with husband Adam and Barney (the dog).  She has three children and two stepchildren, all grown up and living life to the full.

Veena Parmar

Secretary

Veena Parmar relocated to Bournemouth from Leicester in 2015. She has a commercial and retail banking background, having worked with HSBC for over 12 years.  More recently, she has worked for the local authority and various business industries.

She is the owner and founder of The Business Support Co, providing administrative and project-based support to SMEs. Veena is service and solution-driven, with administrative expertise and experience in managing client and stakeholder relationships.

Veena has been Secretary of the Chamber since January 2022 and will be your first point of contact. Feel free to email her with any questions about the Chamber and its services.

Roger Smith

Past President

Roger Smith became a Executive member in November 2013. Roger is a co-director with his two brothers in their fourth generation Funeral Directors business of W. Smith & Sons, established 1892 in Winton and Bournemouth. W. Smith & Sons is the town’s oldest family Funeral Directors.

Roger is the Honorary Secretary of the Bournemouth & District Association of Funeral Directors and their Representative as well as being past president.

Bill Perkins

Chair of Board Meetings

Bill Perkins is currently Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors and also Vice-President of the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth.

He is the Principal of Pine Lodge Independent Financial Advisers and prior to that had a career in retail with Woolworths, MFI, WH Smith and the Co-Op.

He was President in 2003 and 2007 and took the role of Treasurer for many years.

Matt Maclean

Director

Matt Maclean is  a director of Digitize Marketing Ltd and the owner and founder of Maclean Marketing. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Born and bred in in Poole, Matt has spent the last 10 years honing his marketing skills working with a variety of different sectors. He joined the chamber as an Ambassador in December 2021.

He lives in Wallisdown with his partner and dog, and enjoys football, F1 and playing pool.

David King

Director

David King is the owner and founder of DK Capture Photography, a studio photography business for 20 years, operating from his studio in Northbourne. He is a member of The Society of Photographers.

David moved from West London in 2005 where he worked in banking until developing his passion for studio photography into a business and has never looked back.

He lives in Northbourne with his family, and enjoys walking the dogs, paddleboarding and cycling.
