Heather Martyn

President

Heather Martyn has sat as a Chamber Director for many years and is the Operations Manager for Taylor Made Designs based in Christchurch. Having run her own business on the High Street, Heather was instrumental in the revival of the local Traders association  and chaired SoSBA (Southbourne on Sea Business Association) for four years.  Heather sat on the Steering Group for the Coastal BID which succeeded in gaining the ‘Yes’ vote.  In her capacity as a BCTC Director, Heather currently chairs the Chambers’ monthly LGA meeting every month, bringing the voice of local business to BCP Council.

Jacqui Rock

Vice-President, Marketing & Events

Jacqui Rock has a wide range of experience in marketing and branding, which encompasses various ‘storytelling’ platforms (PR, podcasting, event management, networking, content, appeal & copy writing) that her business Clients benefit from.  She loves to find unique ways of making her Clients ideas come to life by creating that buzzzzz…  Her mantra is – Jacqui Rocks Telling Your Story With Style.

Roger Smith

Past President

Roger Smith became a Executive member in November 2013. Roger is a co-director with his two brothers in their fourth generation Funeral Directors business of W. Smith & Sons, established 1892 in Winton and Bournemouth. W. Smith & Sons is the town’s oldest family Funeral Directors.

Roger is the Honorary Secretary of the Bournemouth & District Association of Funeral Directors and their Representative as well as being passed president.

Bill Perkins

Chair of Board Meetings

Bill Perkins is currently Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors and also Vice-President of the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth.

He is the Principal of Pine Lodge Independent Financial Advisers and prior to that had a career in retail with Woolworths, MFI, WH Smith and the Co-Op.

He was President in 2003 and 2007 and took the role of Treasurer for many years.

Yvonne Devereaux

Projects

Yvonne Devereux is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD) and also holds a Post Graduate Degree in Employment Law. 

She is the owner and founder of Olyvetree Ltd, a local HR Consultancy and Training business based in Christchurch. She brings with her over 25 years’ of HR experience and
knowledge gained from working in senior corporate HR roles in well-known organisations.

Yvonne moved from Hampshire in 2016 and now lives in Christchurch with husband Adam and Barney (the dog).  She has three children and two stepchildren, all grown up and living life to the full..

Jennifer Head

Marketing & Events

Jennifer Head joined the Bournemouth Chamber in March 2020 as Ambassador and became a member of the board in September 2020.  Jenny is a consultant in the Medical Devices and MedTech industries, with a focus on the introduction of new, innovative products and services to the NHS and global healthcare systems. Her company, Midnight Consulting, was established in 2019. She has an MBA, MSc and BSc and 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the healthcare sector.

Jenny lives in the New Forest with her husband, daughter and dog . She loves music (cheesey), singing (badly) and spends a significant amount of time watching TV crime-drama boxsets.

Efe Ohwofasa

Efe Ohwofasa is the CEO of Focus Guru Coaching School, where his team of experts train and mentor entrepreneurs and business leaders to maximise income and reach new level of performance and productivity.

Efe is a certified personal performance coach, multiple award-winning entrepreneur. He is also the author of the book “Unleash Yourself” and the forth coming book “Thriving in the Market Place” and he runs the highly acclaimed business motivational seminar The Power of Focus.

Sue Reid

Sue Reid brings to the chamber over 20 years of strong marketing event management experience.

Owner of Reid Business Services, Sue works with businesses, charities and freelancers providing consulting, marketing, event, and admin services, to help them grow their business without the hassle or the overheads.

David Robertson

Ambassador

David Robertson is an accomplished and results-driven professional with hands-on experience providing service delivery excellence for sophisticated Financial Services clients.
With 30 years of experience managing client relationships working for J.P. Morgan, Capgemini and Lloyds Bank in locations both in the UK and Europe, David has developed skills that help businesses create enduring alliances with their clients and providers. David has specific expertise in Operations, Technology, Transformation, Change and Project Management, Contract Management & Negotiation and Sales.

Christina Pengelly

Secretary

Christina Pengelly was born and raised in Canada and has held positions as Project Manager with Deloitte & Touche Central Europe and ABM AMRO Bank N.V.  Since moving to Bournemouth 20 years ago, she has managed her own company, Little Hungarian Hearts, which support artists in Hungary and Romania.
