Newly joining Members BLEND Coffee House hosted for free a fund raising event based on ‘the healing powers of water sports’ on a sunny Saturday evening.
A set of BCTC Next Gen Networkers rallied to Amber’s aid and The President was , indeed , invited to ‘Visit’.
A raffle prize and a modest donation saw me welcomed indeed !
MIND , the mental health charity , GOOD GRIEF TRUST and the BCTC Members Bournemouth and Christchurch Branch of the RNLI were Exhibitors at this evening of Speakers that included Olympians , Paralympians , dynamic wave riding mums and global water sports pod casters.
Amber’s family loss and Linda Magistri’s Good Grief Charity certainly brought into focus and awareness for all that the human spirit can find solace , freedom , exercise and mental healing courtesy of the sea , sands , wind and tides – with prosthetic limbs proving no barrier.
An uplifting evening where the Specialist Health and Welbeing Specialist Network and NCTC Next Gen can provide synergies and support as BCTC once again rides the networking waves
