Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the responsibility of an organisation for the impact of its decisions on society and the environment, above and beyond its legal obligations, through transparent and ethical behaviour. CSR is therefore simply a way for companies to take responsibility for the social and environmental impacts of their business operations. A robust Corporate Social Responsibility program is an opportunity for companies to demonstrate their good corporate citizenship and protect the company from outsized risk by looking at the whole social and environmental sphere that surrounds the company.
Accreditation Scheme
The Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce accreditation scheme has been developed to enable more businesses to be corporately socially responsible and is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your CSR credentials by showing your commitment to supporting charities, employees and your local economy and environment by buying locally and adopting green policies. We are therefore very proud to have launched the CSR Accreditation Scheme, working alongside BCP Council, Leading Business Organisations and the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB).
