Our town centres, high streets and businesses are open for business and working hard to make it safe for all customers to enjoy.

Whether you like to shop, pop out for lunch or meet a friend for coffee in town or just around the corner, we can all do our bit to support local businesses by rediscovering our favourite shopping areas safely. Local businesses have been doing their bit to be covid-safe, so it’s now time to support them and shop local, safely.

Our town centres and high streets have so much to offer. From must-have fashions to delicious homemade food, the experiences across our areas are unrivalled.

We are encouraging you to make an active choice to shop and spend locally to keep the BCP area’s unique local businesses thriving.

Reconnect with your favourite shop, café or restaurant, because local businesses are at the heart of your community.

About the Rediscover campaign

To support the safe return to town centres and high streets, we are launching the Rediscover campaign, funded by a Reopening High Streets Safely grant from the European Regional Development Fund, allocated to us by the government.

The initiative aims to reassure people that it is safe to shop and eat out, and remind them of the unique appeal of businesses and retailers.

We have also been helping businesses access financial support and safety guidance throughout the pandemic.
