Welfare call if you are told to self-isolate
If you’ve been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace you will receive a welfare call from our ‘Together We Can’ team.
If someone is vulnerable and without a support network of friends and family to help you access food and essential items, help will be offered through our volunteer scheme.
Protecting people, supporting businesses
Our economic development team and environmental health officers have been assisting local businesses, with advice and support to help them adhere to government COVID-19 guidance, ensuring they re-open, stay open and operate safely and successfully. The majority of businesses have been complying with the guidance. We’ve received a £187,500 government grant to help continue this work so that we can keep local people safe and businesses operating, whilst keeping the infection rate down and avoiding further local restrictions.
We’re working closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to contact local businesses and will soon be carrying out spot checks to make sure they are COVID-secure. If you run a business and our officers make a call, please don’t ignore it.
