You may have already seen the news that BCP Council Leader, Drew Mellor, resigned on Monday 13 February. We are writing to reassure you that the Council will continue to function and deliver essential public services for our businesses, residents and communities.
The Council’s Chairman has called an extraordinary meeting for Tuesday 21 February to elect a new council leader. Until then, Deputy Leader Phil Broadhead will assume interim leadership of the council.
Please continue to liaise with council officers, members and portfolio holders as normal.
