We are a small, national wish granting charity based in Bournemouth. We bring a little bit of magic into the lives of children aged 4 to 17 suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Round Table Children’s Wish (RTCW) was founded in 1990 by members of Round Table, whilst they continue to support us, we operate independently

We wish to recruit 4 new trustees to expand our Board of trustees to 8. We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of trustees and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. In time we would like one of the new trustees to become Chair.

We need people who can help direct RTCW towards achieving its mission and ensure the organisation is effectively governed. You would need to be able to make a commitment to Round Table Children’s Wish and devote the necessary time.

Essential skills and attributes:
Strategic planning and direction
Understanding of management accounts and budgeting
Ability to work as a member of a team

We will pay trustees’ travel expenses and provide an induction. You will be expected to contribute roughly a day and a half of your time each quarter.
